Gessi Equilibrio

A synthesis of balance between form and function brought about by a chance of encounter along the shorelines of Sardonian beach, where the visions of the two artists collided, leading to the creation of the iconic luxury faucet line of Equilibrio by Gessi.

"The silent breath of stones taught me to breathe," says Marsel Lesko, the artist-philosopher, whom through his ancestral practice of the meditative stone-balancing, in search for personal harmony, inspired the design of the faucets. 

The art and aesthetic of this exercise was captured by the designer Giuseppe Maurizio Scutella, translating the natural sculpture into a furnishing and functional archetype.

Gessi believes that the bathroom is the most intimate space in the home, where one finds himself at the start and end of the day. Reinterpreting one's fundamental connection to the nature through his own bathroom experience,  Equilibrio is presented with an idea of creative freedom that let its end-users explore their own harmony by freely choosing combinations of finishes and materials such as stones, wood and metal for faucet's body and handle.

This collection is available as single-hole and three-hole/centerset mixers that can either be placed directly on a washbasin, or on top of a shelf specifically designed for mounted installations available in different height and sizes.
